SPRING 2016 CENTRAL FLORIDA CAR SHOW IN HISTORIC COCOA VILLAGE

It is that time of year and once again we are in planning for our Spring Central Florida Car Show which is set for Saturday, April 16, 2-5 PM.  As many of you will recall our Fall 2015 event was an overwhelming success - with a couple of hiccups. We planned on having about 125 cars and an even 200 turned up stretching our space, organization and volunteers to the limit. With success comes change and hopefully, improvement.  The Antique Automobile Club of Cape Canaveral has stepped up and offered to support our event with their car show expertise and volunteer assistance. Their presence and counsel will go far towards streamlining registration and set-up. Changes for this event will include:

1)      An expanded layout which will see us adding part of Orange Street, Church Street between Delannoy and Brevard and extending our presence on Brevard Ave all the way to Factory St.
2)      New registration procedures:

  • A fee increase for show day entries to $20.00, the pre-registration fee remains at $15.00
  • Separate lines and express check-in for pre-registered cars
  • Payment must accompany pre-registration - $15.00
  • Each participant must stay with his or her car through check-in/registration process
  • There will be no parking available until you have cleared check-in or registered as necessary

3)      There will be group parking available for clubs as follows:

  • HCVA must be notified in advance of your club's participation which needs to include an accurate estimate of the number of cars expected. Call us!! Give us a contact person with whom we can coordinate for your club members.
  • Members wishing to park with their Club as a group must pre-register; space will be held for pre-registered cars. Though best efforts will be made to park latecomers with their club, there is no guarantee.
  • Club cars will be asked to assemble at designated locations here in the Village and enter the check-in line together to facilitate parking them at the same time. We will make best efforts to reserve a space for each pre-registered car.

Plans call for Dash Plaques for the first 100 Registrations, trophies in 13 classes plus Mayor's Choice and Best in Show awards. We expect to have at least two but probably three DJs and door prizes of course.
